O tratamento ortodôntico das más oclusões de Classe II pode ser associado ao emprego de aparelhos protatores mandibulares fixos, com objetivo de corrigir as relações oclusais sem gerar alterações significativas no padrão facial. Não foram observadas alterações esqueléticas além do crescimento natural da paciente. O resultado das alterações dentoalveolares foi significativo, com obtenção da correção da má oclusão e melhora no perfil estético e funcional. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo foi levantamento bibliográfico através de artigos científicos da área de odontologia e estética. Para isso são necessários um diagnóstico minucioso e um plano de tratamento, que incluam posições dentárias, oclusão funcional, posição mandibular compatível com a posição muscular e articular, além de estética facial.
