Porém alguns pacientes encontram-se limitados para receber estes implantes devido a problemas sistêmicos, pouca quantidade óssea de leito receptor e até falta de espaço protético. Como solução para isso, os implantes Unitite da SIN (Sistema de Implante Nacional), com novos conceitos de design e tratamento de superfície, tem como finalidade acelerar a cicatrização e a osseointegração, sendo uma alternativa para regiões estreitas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar através de um relato de caso clínico, a reabilitação de uma região de espaço reduzido com implante do tipo UNITITE SLIM da marca comercial SIN implant system. Paciente WM, 42 anos, gênero masculino, compareceu a clínica escola da Facsete (Faculdade Sete Lagoas) dizendo que estava incomodado com as falhas dentárias. Sendo assim, realizamos dois implantes na região entre os dentes 13 e 15 após analisar que não teria espaço para utilizar a linha convencional,optamos por utilizar a linha Unitite Slim da S.I.N Implantes devido ao espaço protético reduzido. A grande vantagem destes dispositivos é seguramente a não dependência da colaboração dos pacientes, para a eficácia do tratamento preconizado. O objetivo deste estudo foi revisar a literatura em relação ao uso de miniimplantes para retração dos dentes anteriores. Pode-se concluir que os MPOs com a proposta de uma adequada ancoragem ortodôntica apresentam como vantagens baixo custo, técnica cirúrgica simples, alta versatilidade, fácil higienização, facilidade de remoção e redução do tempo de tratamento. A combinação de MPOs com a mecânica de deslize proporciona uma ancoragem esquelética suficiente para a retração dos dentes anteriores, sem que essa ancoragem, grande limitação dos tratamentos, seja perdida, porém o profissional deve ter conhecimento da biomecânica ortodôntica para que não ocorra efeitos indesejáveis. Por reduzir o tempo de tratamento, o MPO apresenta maior eficácia e menor necessidade de cooperação do paciente, com o mínimo de desconforto. Destaca-se ainda que a introdução de MPOs na região da crista infrazigomática e shelf mandibular trouxeram um ressurgimento no conceito de ancoragem absoluta, pois essa terapêutica possibilita a ampliação das possibilidades de se alcançar resultados mais previsíveis para tratamento de casos antes considerados complexos e que exigiam outros métodos mais invasivos.
