Diante desta situação, há uma maior expectativa de vida na população, o que aumenta a prevalência de novas necessidades ou cuidados para uma faixa etária de maior idade. Portanto, precisamos está preparados para atender essa demanda crescente, no tocante à saúde geral e à saúde bucal. O advento da informação, o relacionamento social e a vaidade propriamente dita leva o paciente a uma maior busca por tratamento estético, o que implica na necessidade da atuação de profissionais qualificados, para necessariamente se obter melhorias na qualidade de vida e/ou recuperar sua saúde e autoestima. Para obtermos bons resultados é importante a aplicação de técnicas adequadas e por cima avaliar o grau de satisfação do paciente. A pesquisa foi do tipo quantitativa, com a amostra selecionada de forma estratificada, nas documentações dos pacientes de ortodontia, tratados por este signatário nos municípios de Caiçara, Logradouro e Guarabira, Estado da Paraíba . Os dados coletados foram tabulados para análise estatística descritiva, em seguida, apresentados através de tabelas, quadros e gráficos. Na oportunidade, iremos frisar o quantitativo de pacientes mutilados que procuraram e se submeteram a tratamento ortodôntico, tendo como base os municípios acima descritos. Oportunamente também veremos que as mulheres estão mais preocupadas com a saúde bucal, haja vista, terem sido elas quem mais procurou atendimento. E que a população adulta também está bem presente quanto ao tratamento ortodôntico, ou seja, há uma preocupação com a estética de uma maior faixa etária da população.
