Podemos dividir o tratamento da Classe II em pacientes em crescimento e em pacientes que não apresentam mais crescimento. No caso de pacientes em crescimento o tratamento mais usado pelos autores foi o uso de aparelhos que promovem o avanço e reposicionamento da mandíbula e promovem um estimulo de crescimento mandíbula, além do uso do arco extrabucal (AEB). A época ideal de tratamento destes pacientes é no início do surto de crescimento puberal. Isso resultou na melhora relevante da sobremordida e correção anteroposterior das arcadas dentárias, sem alterar o perfil facial do paciente.
