Após 5 anos da finalização do caso, o tratamento de fechamento de espaço mostrou-se estável. Para a correção da mordida cruzada foi utilizado o aparelho MARPE (miniscrew assisted rapid palatal expansion), que dispõe da ancoragem esquelética a fim de obter efeito de expansão maxilar, uma vez que o paciente já possui sutura palatina fusionada. Foi utilizada a prescrição de bráquetes pré-ajustados Biofuncional e também mini-implantes Bucal Shelff para distalização dos dentes inferiores, corrigindo assim a oclusão de Classe III. Aproveitando o aparelho MARPE foram soldados ganchos para realização da intrusão dos elementos 17 e 27, que se encontravam extruídos, devido à severa protrusão mandibular. Após 1 ano de tratamento, o aparelho fixo ortodôntico foi removido e foram instalados alinhadores. Nesse momento de tratamento pode-se verificar a correção tanto da má oclusão de Classe III como da mordida cruzada anterior e posterior, devolvendo harmonia do sorriso e equilíbrio facial, atingindo um ótimo resultado, dispensando a necessidade de possíveis intervenções cirúrgicas.
