O diagnóstico precoce é crucial no tratamento da transposição dentária, podendo ser realizado por meio de um exame clínico, radiográfico, e tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico (cone beam), nos casos onde é necessário um maior detalhe no diagnóstico da localização dos dentes envolvidos. A transposição entre os dentes pode ser completa ou incompleta e a terapia de escolha dependerá da gravidade do problema. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar um caso clínico de transposição unilateral entre um canino e incisivo lateral superior esquerdo, além da impactação do incisivo central superior esquerdo e o respectivo tratamento através do reposicionamento dos dentes envolvidos. O diagnóstico foi realizado com auxílio de tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico, visando uma maior precisão de imagem. O tratamento consistiu no tracionamento dos incisivos e canino por meio de uma placa removível com elásticos.
