O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um caso clínico de paciente em fase de crescimento com má oclusão de Classe III com envolvimento esquelético e dentário e mordida cruzada anterior tratada ortodonticamente com aparelho fixo e elásticos intermaxilares. A primeira etapa do tratamento consistiu na expansão rápida da maxila com uso de aparelho expansor Hyrax. Após a irrupção dos permanentes, instalou-se o aparelho fixo, completando-se o tratamento da má oclusão de Classe III com uso de elásticos intermaxilares e aplicação de torques em arcos retangulares. Os resultados encontrados foram a correção da má oclusão, com descruzamento de mordida anterior, além de leve melhora do perfil facial do paciente. Concluiu-se que o uso de aparelho fixo e de elásticos intermaxilares é eficiente no tratamento da má oclusão de Classe III.
